Board index Music Software Logic Pro. Logic Reverses the original audio file when I reverse a copy. Reckoner Posts: 4 Joined: Wed Oct 01, am Logic Reverses the original audio file when I reverse a copy Fri Oct 03, pm Hi, a novice question: I have imported a long audio file, which I will be cutting up into sample segments to insert into various audio tracks.

I want to do the same thing to a reversed copy of the audio. I’ve copy pasted the audio into a new track, but when I reverse this copy, it reverses the original too! I haven’t tried cutting bits out yet because I’m worried this might also destroy the original sound file. At least ‘Reverse’ isn’t an irreversible change.. So how can I make copies of the audio which aren’t linked to the original? Or is my approach all wrong, is there a better way than this to manipulate samples?

You don’t have to copy or bounce or edit or nothing else in order to reverse an audio loop. You always need lots of clics in Logic in order to do something.
